Digestive Tests
Our installations are provided with highly skilled professionals and cutting-edge technology to perform the digestive tests necessary to achieve an early and personalized diagnosis. This combination within the same space provides CMED physicians access to the tests of each patient from their computers.
Clinical Tests
CMED has a blood extraction and organic samples collection point. The result of tests is handed directly to the digestive specialist of the center avoiding patients’ unnecessary transfers.
We also perform the test known as breath test. This test is performed to identify a bacterium, the Helicobacter pylori, responsible for over 90% of duodenal ulcers and up to 80% of gastric ulcers, one of the main causes of chronic gastritis. This test consists on a fasting patient exhaling in specifically designed in bags.
Aware of the annual increase of colon cancers and in order to detect it in its early stages, CMED also performs an analytic test to identify this condition which consists on a blood test for the detection of the presence of a new genetic tumor marker found in over 90% of colon tumors. This screening test identifies colorectal tumors at its early stages when the patient does not yet show symptoms and when colon cancer has higher cure rates (over 90% of cases). This test is recommended for all people over 50 years of age and for those who have never undergone a routine colonoscopy as established by colorectal screening programs.
Food Intolerances are also pathologies increasing on a year basis and this is the reason for the performance of the A200 test which determines the presence of IgG antibodies in over 200 meals of our diet. On the other hand, we develop genetic studies determining whether there is a hypersensitivity to gluten. Gluten sensitivity is a newly diagnosed disease which may affect over 10% of the Spanish population.
